turks & caicos #2

this is a pic of our house. we're up on a hill across the street at yet another fabulous restaurant. which leads us to this one of all. you'll notice that is is early in the eve as no refreshments have been served. ordered yes, rec'd not yet. as for the most festive shirt.....may have to wear it to the upcoming nuptials of our niece!
the water here is incredible. clear and perfect for snorkels. Candy saw a barracuda and made a bee-line to shore. Debbie, when all were ready to come in, shouted "last one in is a rotten egg" and promptly began swimming like a striped-ape. one problem, however, she was heading out to sea rather than to the beach. needless to indicate who was the rotten egg......
which quickly prompted this activity. nothing like some island rum punch to overcome that rotten egg thingy. just disappointed that no drink umbrellas were at hand.
and the result of that punch!

hard to decide which pics to include as many festive ones.

Bim and Tom are out for a snorkel currently in the midst of lightening and thunderstorm. swimming around like nothing's happening while the rest of us decided to have another beer, cocktail or whatever.

we've had wonderful meals, and Candy fixed some black bean and rice dish for lunch yesterday. delicious! we're off to the conch shack tonight. there's live music (not sure what variety), and I expect that we will take full advantage.

tomorrow is spa day. the spa is sending over 3 masseuses over for body wraps, head massages, feet massages, and Debbie, being the spa queen, is getting the full rotten-girl treatment. (imagine that?)

we're also, tomorrow night, having a chef here to fix up some delectables in the spaciousness of this house.

we'll have to return as have only scratched the surface on many of the things we haven't done. I know many will be amazed that we have all been very subdued with no arrests or visits by the local policia (but still 2 days to go nad there is that live music stuff.)

so with that I bid adieu

Turks & Caicos

one of these days going to figure out how to correctly sequence pics. but in the meantime, going to have to do with these.

ok here's Debbie on the deck of our house in Turks and Caicos. beautiful, absolutely beautiful. the water is so clear and the weather has been spectacular. and NO humidity. haven't had to run the a/c at all.

have eaten out at some fabulous places with the prospect of more to come.

this was taken last night. an incredible place with some of the best food I've ever eaten. we had just walked from the casino. (walked might be a tad of an overstatement) Linda had given us a lesson in craps and amazingly, we took right to it. we were the only people at the table for sometime but our shouts brought a few more participants to enjoy our hot hands. Linda was the premier thrower(?) and had the dice for quite a while. I even had time to get more than 1 free drink. I think we all came out at least even to maybe $50 ahead. the big winner was Lynn who took the slots for $200.

this restaurant was great. we even had Halle Berry waiting on us. the seafood was outstanding. they could do wonders with grilled mahi mahi, swordfish and wahoo. but as usual I out-ordered all with my seafood hamburger.
and what we do best! this is at the Tiki Hut where we spent the afternoon enjoying Tiki Temptations, then beer and then I don't remember.

we could walk, crawl here from our house along with a few other places where I'm sure we'll try their delicious fare.
Me, Debbie and Retro at the beach. the pic doesn't do the water justice.
and here it begins, the Atlanta airport at 9:30 am. Bloody's for all! whew! I knew we were in trouble when Linda texted and informed that they were @ Friday's.

doesn't get better than this. really great friends and a beautiful place! just sorry for those who chose not to join us happy April from the KB, Retro, TeeTotaller, Wild Man, the She-Devils, Miss Auburn, the sweetest and (most patient ever - being married to Tom), Lynn
